
Alexis is a dedicated and compassionate graduate student, eager to begin her field placement and gain professional experience in substance use treatment.
Education:
Alexis completed her bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Mental Health Studies from Holy Family University. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health. She has an expected graduation date of May 2026.
Experience:
Alexis has experience working as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), where she implemented natural environment teaching and social skills development, while also facilitating individual sessions. During her undergraduate studies, she completed an internship at a high school, where she conducted administrative and college research, assisted in student seminars, and observed the daily routines of both school and college counselors.
What they do for Rosewood:
Alexis will begin her internship fieldwork observing group therapy, individual sessions, and assessments. As she progresses, she will co-facilitate and lead group therapy sessions, while managing her own caseload of clients.
Hobbies:
Alexis enjoys reading and painting as ways to relieve stress, and serving as a form of creative expression. She takes outdoor walks and runs for clarity and grounding. She cherishes spending time with loved ones whenever she has free time. She also enjoys traveling when possible, as it allows her to experience different cultures and environments. Music is another passion of hers, and she loves attending concerts
