Frequenty Asked Questions

Q: How often will I meet with my therapist?
A: Clients in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) meet individually with their therapist twice each week, while those participating in our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) attend one individual therapy session weekly. Clients who transition to our Outpatient Program (OP) typically begin with weekly individual therapy sessions, with the frequency gradually decreasing as they make progress and based on their ongoing clinical needs.

Q:
Can I receive individual therapy without attending group treatment?
A: Group therapy is a core component of both our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), providing clients with opportunities to build connections, develop new skills, and learn from shared experiences. Because clients are enrolled in either our PHP or IOP, participation in group therapy is a required and essential part of treatment. As clients transition to our Outpatient Program (OP), they have the option to continue with individual therapy only or participate in our extended care outpatient programming for additional support. Ask us about our Extended Care Outpatient Program and how it can help you maintain long-term recovery.

Q: What if I have both addiction and mental health concerns?
A: Therapists at Rosewood Recovery are trained in the treatment of both substance use disorders and mental health concerns. When these conditions occur together, they are commonly referred to as co-occurring disorders. At the time of admission, clients are enrolled in the program that best aligns with their primary clinical needs. Regardless of program placement, all clients receive individualized care to ensure that their full range of needs and concerns are addressed as part of a comprehensive, integrated treatment plan.
