Lori joined Rosewood Recovery in February 2023 eager to bring her knowledge and experience to this amazing recovery center.

Lori has worked in the mental and behavioral field since 2009. She graduated from Albright College with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminology and earned her master’s degree in Clinical-Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Trauma Studies from Chestnut Hill College. Lori is a Licensed Professional Counselor (PA) and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (PA).

In her clinical work, Lori favors an eclectic approach incorporating Person-Centered, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt techniques, and firmly embraces the Harm Reduction model.

After earning her master’s, Lori started working with a not-for-profit company where she would develop and foster her clinical and management skills over the next 13 years.

Lori was a Mental Health Therapist and Clinical Supervisor before receiving a promotion in 2012 to Program Director of a Drug and Alcohol clinic. This is where Lori’s passion for working with individuals who have a substance disorder was reignited.

Recognizing the unique disparities, treatment gaps, and harsh stigma individuals who use and misuse substances face, Lori was ready to dig in. She quickly became a subject matter expert in substance use disorders and the use of Medication Assisted Treatment options. In 2018 she was transferred to the organization’s largest opioid treatment program (OTP) and in 2021 became a Regional Director.

The quick trajectory Lori’s career took was acknowledged in 2015 being awarded Young Alumni by Albright College. Her advocacy, determination, and passion was further recognized in 2021 when she was named Recovery Champion by the Philadelphia Mayor’s Commission on Addiction and Recovery.

She has developed training presentations around the Opioid Epidemic and Harm Reduction speaking with Penn State Abington and Middlesex College Psychology classes, University of Pennsylvania Social Work students, and the Business Association of West Parkside.
