Maria is a master’s-level graduate student completing her field placement with Rosewood Recovery. She brings enthusiasm, curiosity, and a strong commitment to learning as she gains hands-on clinical experience.
Education:
Maria earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from West Chester University and is currently pursuing her master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Lehigh University. She is expected to graduate in May 2027.
What they do for Rosewood:
Maria is beginning her first semester of field placement, where she will gain hands-on experience by observing individual and group therapy and becoming familiar with a professional therapy setting. She will develop skills through observation, supervision, and her master’s coursework. As she progresses in this and subsequent semesters, Maria will begin co-facilitating groups, eventually leading sessions independently and managing a caseload of clients for individual and family therapy. Maria is gravitating toward a psychodynamic approach while integrating elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and person-centered, humanistic therapy into her clinical work.She looks forward to continuing her growth and contributing to the Rosewood Recovery team throughout her field placement.
Hobbies:
When she’s not at work or at an internship, Maria enjoys spending time with her family, watching a good movie, or diving into a new book series. She loves exploring new restaurants, traveling, and making memories with friends and loved ones. In her free time, Maria also enjoys journaling and painting.
